Blazing Broadband
Broadband Internet is hot, and the word is, it is getting faster, more reliable and more mobile. It is an exciting time to be involved with the technology, and consumers are enjoying the buzz, too. Not only is high speed Internet easy to use, but with its upload and download speeds, everyone is saving time and enjoying themselves much more while at the keyboard.
It is important to understand that all high speed Internet is not created equal. When you compare broadband you will see there are great differences, but as a whole, broadband methods beat dialup hands down. Whether you work from a desktop or laptop, send large files or e-mail the latest gossip, broadband makes it quick and easy, with no time wasted dialing up or getting dropped. And as technology progresses, the speeds are only going to increase, reliability will get better and the options will be endless.
With all the different broadband technology available, it is a good time to compare broadband providers, too. Some offer only a fixed ADSL line, where you must work from a stationary desktop because the connectivity is through the copper telephone wire. Though it doesn’t interfere with one’s telephone, it does limit mobility. Cable is basically the same. It is run through the cable line, so without a wireless router you have to work at a stationary work station, though you can watch cable television, talk on the phone, fax and whatever else you want while online with no fear of being dropped.
